Sudan: EU anticipates better Referendum process than 2010 elections
The Chief of the European Union Election Observation Mission for the Referendum in Southern Sudan, Veronique de Keyser, said that she is expecting the Referendum process to be better than the April 2010 general elections. She explained to Radio Miraya that the elections were complicated and the voters had lacked experience .
De Keyser said there were some difficulties in the run up to the Referendum process, but right solutions were found on time. She added the European Union will provide assistance in different areas for the conduct of a successful Referendum.
She added that it is necessary to carry out voting in free and fair conditions, and that the result must be respected by all.
